Event Details

The Ultimate Edinburgh Ride for Women

Join the Edinburgh Belles for a 23-mile ride around Edinburgh. Utilising former railway paths and other cycling infrastructure within the city, this circular route will take us from Leith to Saughton Park and the Colinton Tunnel in the south west, then back east through the Meadows and Duddingston to Portobello, before finishing up back in Leith. We will primarily utilise cycling paths of varying surface (tarmac & gravel), so Dutch bikes and skinny tires are not recommended. There will be stops along the way for loo breaks and lunch/snacks.

Belles on Bikes is an established network of women’s cycling groups across Scotland. The Edinburgh Belles have been providing informal, friendly, and relaxed rides since 2017 (except for a covid related break) with a membership of just under 340. Find us on Twitter and Facebook.

Get ready to pedal through an Edinburgh you may not have seen before with fellow cycling enthusiasts. Grab your bike, gather your friends, and let’s hit the road together! Bring a roadworthy bike, a spare inner tube, water, snacks, and money/card for that all important lunch/cake stop.

Free: book here, bookings open Saturday 4th May.
