Cargo bike hire
The Edinburgh Festival of Cycling Ltd has an Urban Arrow cargo bike which is available for hire (when not in use on company business i.e. during the Festival of Cycling in June). As a social enterprise, one of our aims is to promote cycling as a form of sustainable transport. So we are making our Urban Arrow cargo bike available for hire for journeys in and around Edinburgh. When hiring the Urban Arrow you can either collect and return at an arranged time outside of The Bicycle Works, 29-30 Argyle Place, EH9 1JJ, (please note that this is just a meeting place, the Bicycle Works is an entirely separate business and is not involved with the hire of this bike) or we can arrange delivery or collection to/from other locations inwith Edinburgh for a extra charge.

If you are interested in hiring the Urban Arrow cargo bike, you can either ask a question or request a booking, using the form below.
Please Note: The requested hire dates cannot be guaranteed and will be subject to availability.
Payment for the hire will be taken at the start of the hire period either by credit card or cash, please ensure you have the means to pay. Please bring some form of Government-issued photo ID (i.e. Passport, Driving Licence, ID card, etc) with you at the start of the hire.
People ask us how far you can go on a single charge? Well, that is a bit like asking how long is a piece of string but as an example here is what one user manage on a single battery charge whilst making deliveries and collections across Edinburgh. Clearly the bike was being used in Eco mode with minimal e-assistance.
If you are interested in test riding the Urban Arrow cargo bike with a view to buying your own cargo bike, short test rides can be arranged free of charge via Laid Back Bikes (Scotland’s only Urban Arrow dealer).
