The Life and Times of Kamikaze Kerry
How does someone, born and bred on one of the flattest islands in the Outer Hebrides, go on to race mountain bikes at the Commonwealth Games?! And in the process, due to her fearless approach when riding down hill, gaining the nickname “Kamikaze Kerry”.
Gaidhlig speaking Kerry MacPhee shares her stories and adventures, why bike-packing, gravel riding and FKT’s are her current tonic and how her work as a voluntary director of 3 non-profits is getting more people outdoors and onto bikes. Kerry is a director of Adaptive Riders Collective CIC, Bike Trossachs CIC and Dirt Divas CIC. Her day job is split between renewables and working as a cycling development officer, and in 2022 she was event director for the first gravel cycling event in the UK to be fully inclusive and integrate adaptive cycles.
By the time this talk comes round, she will have completed the Highland Trail 550, so it may be about a big part of her talk?!
