Cycling Summit Scotland – Inspiring Scotland to Cycle

cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control

The inaugural Cycling Summit Scotland will take place on Friday 14 June. A half day conference featuring high profile speakers from the world of cycling, this event has something for everyone. Whether you are a commuter, enjoy cycling recreationally, race competitively, enjoy watching the sport of cycling, or work in the sports industry, this event has something for you.

Our theme for 2019 is “Inspiring Scotland to Cycle”, and you will hear from our speakers with their perspectives on this, including Craig Burn (CEO of Scottish Cycling) on their new strategy ‘Developing a Nation of Cyclists’, and from Esther O’Callaghan, OBE (Head of Legacy and Development, Women’s Tour of Scotland), about their ground breaking event that truly is ‘more than a bike race’. You will also hear from a representative of the West Lothian Cycle Circuit, where fantastic work is being done by a team of volunteers to bring a new cycling facility to the local community in Linlithgow, inspiring more people to get active, and creating a safe, traffic free environment, for people to cycle. Finally, you will hear from Neil Fachie, MBE about his inspirational story, and how he overcame his own challenges to become a 13 x World, 4 x Commonwealth and Paralympic Champion.
