If you’ve never cycled through the night, on quiet roads, here is your chance to give it a try: the ride (approx. 60 miles/100 km) takes place around the summer solstice, with groups accompanied by experienced ride leaders. We’ll be making our way along a new mystery route through scenic East Lothian at an easy pace (~12mph rolling speed), with a rest stop and refreshments around half-way, before heading back into town to finish with breakfast.
Our mechanical support partner Leith Cycle Co will again open from 22:00 for any last-minute needs, and there will be mechanical support on the ride. You can also book your bike in for discounted tune-up during the week before the ride (proof of registration required).
In its first year, the ride was described as a ‘magical experience’ despite the downpours, the following years were dry and we were told it kept getting even better – so we are doing it again.
