The Edinburgh Night Ride 2018
The Original and best Edinburgh Night Ride will be back in 2018, for our 6th outing. Beware of expensive imitations.
The information below is from 2017, the page for the 2018 event is here.
If you’ve never cycled through the night (or want to join us again), on quiet roads, here is your chance to give it a try: the ride (approx. 60 miles/100 km) takes place around the summer solstice, with groups accompanied by experienced ride leaders. We’ll be making our way along a new mystery route through scenic East Lothian at an easy pace (~12mph rolling speed), with a rest stop and refreshments around half-way, before heading back into town to finish with breakfast.
Leith Cycle Co will again open from 22:00 for any last-minute needs and provide mechanical support
during the ride. You can also book your bike in for discounted tune-up during the week before the ride (proof of registration required).
In its first year, the Original Edinburgh Night Ride was described as a ‘magical experience’ despite the downpours, the 2nd and 3rd years were dry and we were told it was even better, and last year was the best yet – so we are doing it again.
Tickets: £27 (including two meals)
